Microprocessor Flame Photometer: Working & Specifications!

Microprocessor Flame Photometer is used for determining Sodium, Potassium, Calcium, and Lithium. It is called by this name as it used the latest microcontroller technology, a well know instrument of analytical lab.  It is manufactured with some of the advanced engineering techniques that they give some of the enhanced reproducibility. It has a 3 point calibration with a curve fitting software. It also comes with a soft touch membrane key for the operations.

How does it work?

The sample solution passes through atomizer and that is through aspiration. The sample, air, and the fuel are then mixed in the mixing chamber which is sprayed nicely as a fine mist in the flame. then the color of the flame changes which is completely dependent on the concentration of the elements that are present in it. The radiations from the flame then pass through the sensing system and the specific narrowband interference filter that permits only the characteristic radiation to pass to the photodetector. Then the output is read by the digital reader.

Specifications of Microprocessor Flame Photometer:

The weight of this equipment is approximately 8kg, while taking the power of 230V and 50Hz. The air supply is by oil-free mini compressor unit that comes with a pressure regulator. The burner is made of stainless steel as it has many benefits and the atomizer used is also of axial flow type.   It is a 3 point calibration and its detector used here is Silicon Photodiode. The LPG and dry oil-free air is the flame system that is used. Along with the instruments, you can read out the values from 5 digits 7 segments bright red LED Display.
