Why is static and dynamic balance important?

Why is static and dynamic balance important?

Dynamic balance is caused when the shaft that is rotating is not balanced and then the centrifugal force is caused. It is significant or essential to balance because the forces that are made from the unbalance are quite harmful to the performance and working of the machine- it may damage the rotors, the structure or the supporting frame.

Thus, forces due to unbalancing are always considered to depend on the rotation speed and amount of unbalance. The balancing of any kind of bodies are essential so that you can avoid any kind of vibration. Also, if the motors or bodies are not balanced, then they can cause a lot of disturbance. In addition to this, balancing act helps to re-structure the center of rotation.

When we are talking about static balance, they refer to the ability of the stationary on the object to its balance. This happens when the objects center of the gravity is on the axis of the rotation.  The dynamic balance is the ability of an object to balance while in motion or when the switching between the positions.

Balancing also involves the shifting of the center of the gravity towards the center of rotation and they happen when the object to balance while in motion or when switching between positions.

When we talk about theory of machines, two things come in our mind that are defined below.

Static Balancing:

A static balance happens when the C.G. Centre of Gravity of the body which is lying on its axis of the rotation. Also, this makes sure the body remains static and also has almost no tendency to rotate.

Dynamic balancing:

Again, this kind of balancing happens when the rotation of the body doesn’t produce any kind of resultant centrifugal force or the couple force. Also, the system which rotates here without needing any kind of external force.
