Strength of Materials Lab is completely to produce famous, competitive and skilled engineers. Basically, the Strength of Materials lab is totally for core engineering branches. It is for those people who want to become professionals with excellent skills to face all the complex challenges and then solve them with creativity, leadership, social awareness. This can also be done by quality teaching, proper infrastructure, interest to learn more and development of skill. The labs should be state of art so as to provide dynamic guidance to the engineering students. 

The basic principles of SOM lab is to make sure that you apply the knowledge of mathematics, science and other engineering fundamentals in the laboratory. Also, you need to learn how to spot and formulate the research literature so as to find solutions to the complex engineering problems. After you analyze the problem, the next comes the designing of the perfect solutions for those problems. You will be able to do it when you meet the specific design system needs and processes. After designing the solutions, you further launch a probe into the problem. This is will be helpful in making the proper techniques and resources. Then you further look into the environment and the sustainability.
